Our Activity Groups are listed below.

  • You can find out more about a group by clicking its name; this opens the group's page. Return to this page using your browser's back arrow or by selecting Groups Table in the More menu above.
  • You can choose to sort the list with the buttons just above it. This is useful for finding groups on a particular day or in a given category.
  • To view the schedule of group meetings in a Google Calendar, click the Groups Schedule button in the menu above.
  • Scroll down or click here to read about week numbers, terms and charges.
  • Please check with the Group Leader before turning up for a meeting for the first time.

Term Times

We have Autumn and Spring terms of 12 weeks running from September to December and January to March inclusive. The 2026 Autumn Term starts on Monday 14th September for Week 1, with Week 2 starting 21st September; the term ends on Friday 4th December. The 2027 Spring Term starts on Monday 4th January for Week 1, with Week 2 starting 11th January; the term ends on Good Friday 26th March.

Most groups meet fortnightly during these two terms, but a few meet weekly or monthly. Groups meeting fortnightly are allocated to Week 1 and Week 2 which alternate during the term.

Some groups also meet after Easter, depending on the leader and group members' wishes. A small number of groups continue to meet all year round.

Morning sessions generally run from 10am to 12pm or 10.30 to 12.30, and afternoon sessions from 2pm to 4pm. Please check individual group pages for precise times and venue.

Charges

Groups charge £1 per week to participate, with the fees for that term payable at the start of the term for most groups. However, the Committee has instigated a group fee "holiday" until Autumn Term 2026, details of which are at this link. Group participation is therefore currently free.
