Our year runs from 1 September to 31 August.
- This form can be used by 2 people, living at the same address, joining as Member 1, and Member 2. There is no need to submit separate forms.
- One member £10; Two members £20 (living at the same address). Associate £5 (must select 'No' to u3aMatters magazine). Add £4 if you wish to receive u3aMatters magazine.
- If you are a member of another u3a you can join S&G u3a for £5 as an Associate Member. Please name the u3a you are a member of with your current membership number in the Status section below.
- You can pay your fee using Bank Transfer, (if you have registered for online banking with your bank), or by cheque.
- Payment by Bank Transfer is free for you and the u3a. We will be charged for a cheque payment.
- We do not require your bank details, as we don't take money from your account - you send it to us.
- When you click Submit at the bottom of the form you will see an on-screen acknowledgement that your form has been submitted successfully.
- The Membership Secretary will send you an email with our bank details for making payment by bank transfer (preferred - see below) and an address for payment by cheque. Please allow several days for a response. This email may end up in your spam folder, please check.
- When your payment has been received your Membership Number(s) will be sent to you by email - applies to new members only.

Please ignore the message from Google at the top about signing in to save your progress. It's not necessary.
When you press Submit at the bottom you should get a message above saying "Your response has been recorded". The invitation to submit another response does not mean you need to fill in the form again! The Membership Secretary may take several days to respond.
Agreements
By applying to join S&G u3a you agree to abide by its constitution and any conditions properly imposed by the committee, and by the principles of the u3a movement. (These are available from the Membership Secretary and on this website.)
All members join groups at their own risk. This applies mainly to sport and outdoor activities, but accidents can happen anywhere, and whilst we have third party insurance through the National U3A, S&Gu3a are not liable for accidents that occur during normal group activity.
u3aMatters Magazine. For opting to receive magazines by post you give your consent to your data being shared with the distribution company. You can request for your data not to be used for direct postal mailing from Third Age Trust Magazines at any time by contacting the Membership Secretary.
Payment by Bank Transfer - FREE for you and the u3a.
You will receive our bank details upon receipt of your completed membership form. Please make payment asap.
Payment by cheque – we are charged for each cheque
Cheques payable to Street and Glastonbury u3a. Print your name, current membership number (if applicable) and your address on the back and post it to the address in the response email you'll receive from the Membership Secretary.
If you wish to have a printed membership card please enclose SAE for return of the card.
Signatures. If two members are applying both ‘signatures’ are required, and both must live at the same address. By 'signature' we accept your typed name.
