Last year the group read Hamlet and Antony & Cleopatra, each across six 2-hour sessions. In September we’re starting with The Tempest which will take us up to the Christmas break.
Members need to have their own copy of the play, preferably with line numbering, and are expected to do a little ‘homework’ in preparation for each session, reminding themselves of the text so far and reading a little forward in anticipation, all with the purpose of enhancing our group understanding and appreciation. Our reading and discussion may be complemented by watching a stage performance on DVD.
The group is limited to 12 and is fully subscribed. With several already on the waiting list I am not accepting any more names.
