1st Thursday of the month. All year.
Venue: St Edmunds Hall

We meet on the first Thursday afternoon of each month to share our thoughts and opinions of a chosen book. As you might imagine, it is a rare if not unheard of occurrence that these opinions are unanimous and it is often that very fact that makes for an interesting and enjoyable discussion.

We arrive at our selected reading list by each submitting a suggestion (no restrictions) and taking a vote. Our reading list for September through to February 2027 is as below:

DateTitleAuthor
03 SepFourteen Days(short stories)Margaret Atwood (Edited by)
01 OctOnce the Deed is DoneRachel Seiffert
tbcA Killing in NovemberSimon Mason
tbcGhost WallSarah Moss
tbcThe Sicilian InheritanceJo Piazza
tbcThe Garden of Evening MistsTwan Eng Tan

Members are responsible for obtaining their own copies of the texts.

Each session is introduced by a member of the group although this is not forced upon anyone not wishing to do so. There is opportunity for everyone to have their say.

The ideal size of the group for a lively discussion is around 12. With 18 members we are already over subscribed so I am not accepting names for a waiting list.
